TEGEL'S DELUXE ROASTED CHICKEN WINS MASSEY UNIVERSITY'S PREMIER AWARD

Tegel Foods Ltd has won the Premier Award at the 2008 Massey University Food Awards for its Deluxe Roasted Chicken.

The Massey University Food Awards celebrate new initiatives in New Zealand food and beverage production and manufacturing, recognising clear company leaders who inspire others to meet their standards of excellence.

Tegel’s Deluxe Roasted Chicken was developed to give more Kiwis easy access to delicious, tender and tasty hot roasted chicken, by expanding outlets beyond supermarkets and giving smaller convenience stores the opportunity to sell hot cooked chickens.

Tegel’s Deluxe Roasted Chicken is a great alternative to takeaways, its available ready to go in a convenient thermal bag that seals in the heat to keep the chicken hot and juicy for tender eating. It’s a healthy option and good source of protein that offers an excellent value meal for the whole family to enjoy.

Tegel’s Deluxe Roasted Chicken is the only hot cooked chicken that is sold in Four Square Stores. Approximately 100 stores throughout New Zealand are currently selling the product, making delicious hot cooked chicken more accessible to Kiwis who may have been missing out.

As well as winning the Premier Award, Tegel’s Deluxe Roasted Chicken won the Food Safety Award, which is awarded to a product that assures customer safety and provides public confidence.
