Tegel is an iconic New Zealand brand with a long history of producing quality products to New Zealand’s high standards. We produce high volumes and a wide variety of chicken products per day. We are looking for an energetic and ambitious accountant to come onboard.

Based at our Henderson site you will work with operational Managers from a broad range of disciplines including processing, logistics and livestock as well as the wider company Finance group. Reporting to the Henderson Finance Manager, your key focus will be to meet all company and quality standards through accurate accounting, and to provide relevant financial information to enhance business performance.

You should be a qualified accountant with at least three years experience in a large organisation. Manufacturing sector experience will be an advantage, as will previous exposure to ERP systems. You should be prepared to pull on a pair of gumboots and get out and see where the numbers are coming from!

Qualities required for the role are:

MUST have
● relevant Accounting qualifications, and preferably CA qualified
● business analysis experience;
● good interpersonal and organisational skills;
● computer competency including advanced spreadsheets;
● the ability to perform well under pressure; and
● a drive to meet deadlines;
● an interest in continuous improvement.
