We are looking for an experienced Plant Engineer to join our company and add to our established and high performing Christchurch Engineering team.
A day in the life of Plant Engineer
- You will be responsible for managing the maintenance provision to maximise plant uptime to specified standards, through effective breakdown support and preventative maintenance
- Manage a team of 18 to meet targets efficiently, while developing the team to ensure sufficient cover in all required skill sets
- Active downtime management
- Lead maintenance team to ensure plant is maintained to agreed standards and that planned maintenance is carried
- Manage working relations with key contracting services to ensure full provision of service, and effective use of resources
- Control costs, materials spending and inventory management to budgetary limits
What will you bring:
- Ability to lead, direct and motivate a team
- At least 5 years' experience working in this role or similar
- A relevant Trade Qualification / Registration / Trade Certificate in a Mechanical Engineering field to a minimum of Level 4
- Sound knowledge of EHS, Food Safety, Quality required
- Experience in computerised maintenance management systems
- Maintenance reliability and asset care skills with failure analysis knowledge
- Electrical knowledge
- Good communication and inter-personal skills
- Time management
