Join Tegel as a Warehouse Operator at our Henderson Distribution Centre, where you'll be part of a strong team. This is a physically demanding, manual role that involves a lot of lifting, carrying, and moving cartons—so you'll need to be fit, strong, and ready to work hard!
What you need to know:
- Location: Henderson Distribution Centre
- Hours: Monday-Friday + every other Saturday
- Shift: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
- Environment: You'll be operating in a chilled and frozen warehouse, so being comfortable in cold conditions is essential
- Physical Work: Heavy lifting (up to 20kg), lots of movement, and a busy atmosphere
What you'll be doing:
- Heavy lifting & manual handling - Moving cartons, stacking pallets, and sorting stock
- Picking & packing customer orders accurately
- Sorting, rotating, and labelling stock to maintain efficiency
- Operating warehouse machinery (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.)
- General warehouse duties to keep operations running smoothly
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience in a warehousing, logistics, or distribution environment is essential
- Comfortable and confident using computers and warehouse systems for daily tasks and reporting
- A Forklift license is preferred (but not essential - we provide training!)
- Physically strong & fit - able to lift and move heavy cartons for extended periods
- Comfortable working in a cold environment (chilled & frozen conditions)
- Reliable, hardworking, and a great team player
- Can handle a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
