About the role:

We are currently looking for Process Workers to join our Hatchery team in Drury. If you have a great work ethic and want to be part of a strong connected team, then it come and join the team at Tegel.

We are seeking capable and enthusiastic people to join our Hatchery. The best is you get to have Wednesday off. The shifts are 4 days (6 am to 4.30 pm) Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Whilst your core role will be to undertake the process of hatching chicks to meet the day to day production and operational demands, we are looking for someone interested in learning all the technical and operational aspects of chicken development, incubation and livestock management with a view to grow within the business.

Duties will include:

  • Egg handling
  • Grading day old chicks
  • Cleaning and sanitising rooms and equipment
  • Sexing of chicks

For this role, you will:

  • Ideally have previous experience in manufacturing, though training will be provided
  • Be physically fit and capable of performing the work assigned to you
  • Have reliable transport to and from work
  • Comfortable with repetitive tasks
  • Be willing to undertake training and development of personal potential
